About me
Hi! My name is Annabel Frist and I’m a fifth-year student-athlete at Stanford University studying Design. My method track was in Human Behavior & Multi-Stakeholder Research with a domain focus in Healthcare and Health Technology Innovation. Besides the d.School curriculum itself, what drew me to the Design major was how it engaged students in learning - through hands-on projects, 3-week sprints, constant interaction and group collaboration with classmates, and an underlying competitiveness to come up with the best ideas and products. It taught me how to constantly be curious, think critically and empathetically about problem spaces, and to have a log ego, high output mindset.
Outside of the classroom, the majority of my time is spent dedicated to Stanford Women’s Lacrosse where I’ve played the role of a two-time Captain, a 2x All-American, and committed teammate and friend. My junior season I tore my ACL and proceeded to get two knee surgeries, preventing me from competing my senior season. After much thought, I decided to take 5th year and go after a National Championship. Sports have taught me immensely about how to take ownership, stay accountable, and practice servant leadership.
I’m most energized by teams of highly-talented individuals who are curious, creative, and driven. I want to be in an environment where I can maximize learning, add value along the way, and be surrounded by great people so you can have fun while doing it.
